Houston Italian Festival 2018
Come celebrate the 40th Annual Houston Italian Festival on the grounds of the University of St. Thomas from Thursday, October 11 to Sunday, October 14, 2018! Festa Italiana is a celebration of all things Italian in the city of Houston and welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds to learn more about Italy on this special weekend.
The theme for the 2018 Houston Italian Festival is “One Community, Many Cultures.” On this special 40th anniversary, Festa Italiana is celebrating the diversity of Houston and Texas as a whole. The festival welcomes people from all backgrounds and walks of life to join together for a weekend connected by a love for Italian culture, traditions, food and maybe a few glasses of wine.
This year’s festival features authentic Italian food and wine, premium Italian win e and craft beer tastings with special guests Marco Scapagnini of Firriato Winery and Joey Williams and Joseph Kemble of Spec’s Spirits, Wine & Finer Foods, cooking classes for children, Italian language classes, Italian bingo games, interactive sidewalk art and a high school sidewalk art competition, pasta eating contests, the grape stomp competition, a bocce ball tournament, Classic Car show, marionette puppet shows, and film screenings. The main stage will feature live music and performances by Aaron Caruso, Amanda Pascali and the Family, the Houston International Folk Dancing group, the Tarantellas, the Fab 5, Radio Live, DJ Italia and the Scuola di Fabris Historical Dueslist Corps. Guests can also browse over 40 vendors in our marketplace area.

Proceeds from the Houston Italian Festival benefit several local non-profits including the Italian Cultural & Community Center (which provides numerous educational programs, scholarship and events throughout the year for all Houstonians to enjoy).
