The French Room at the Adolphus Hotel

Inspired by its original design and timeless European architecture- The French Room has been completely restored. With a nod to Louis XVI’s luxe style, the fabric, chairs and twin Italian Murano Glass Chandeliers are ornate.  The menu draws on French culinary traditions and methodologies with a fresh sensibility and a comprehensive wine collection. Guests can partake in artisanal cocktails in the sultry and elegant French Room Bar or peruse the French Room’s salon’s installation of thoughtfully curated contemporary art.


Pappas Bros. Steakhouse

We are in Texas, so steaks are certainly a favorite, and one of the top steakhouses in Dallas is Pappas Bros. Steakhouse. In addition to using corn-fed beef and only USDA Prime graded cuts, they have their own butchers and dry age their beef in-house for a minimum of 28 days. This helps ensure that every steak that hits the plate in Pappas Bros. Steakhouse is perfect. If you like Filet Mignon, Ribeye, New York Strip or Porterhouse, you will not be disappointed. If steak isn’t your favorite, they also feature veal, lamb, and seafood. Their vegetables include potatoes, asparagus, mushrooms, onion rings and creamed spinach.  If you enjoy wine, this restaurant won’t disappoint. They have some of the top sommeliers in the city, and they are happy to help with your wine selection. This will be hard but save room so you can try one of their absolutely decadent desserts. This family-run restaurant prides itself on outstanding service and providing guests an unparalleled dining experience.


Café Momentum

Everyone likes to give back around the holidays, but Cafe’ Momentum gives back all year long.   This incredible restaurant is a non-profit organization that provides 12-month paid internships to young men and women coming out of juvenile facilities to help transform their lives.  These young people rotate through five stations of the restaurant learning all aspects of the restaurant gaining marketable skills, life lessons and social skills.  Don’t let the cause fool you this top-notch restaurant is serving sophisticated American cuisine.  It’s a very popular restaurant that operates a made from scratch kitchen, that sources fresh ingredients to create some amazing food.  Some of the items may include: smoked fried chicken, beef filet, pork chops and sauteed Gulf shrimp. Joe T. Garcia’s

2201 N. Commerce Street, Fort Worth TX 76164

This very popular Mexican restaurant is a winner of the James Beard Foundation Award for Excellence.  It was opened in 1935 with a seating capacity for only 16. Over the years the restaurant grew in popularity and size, but it still features the delicious family recipes that made it famous. They are well known for their family style dinner which includes cheese nachos, cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, beef tacos, guacamole, corn tortillas, chips and hot sauce. Their chicken and beef fajitas are also fan favorites. Don’t miss having one of their top-notch margaritas on their fabulous patio. Please note: This is a cash only restaurant, they do not accept credit cards.


Dakota’s Steakhouse

600 North Akard St. Dallas, TX 75201

A staple in Downtown Dallas, Dakota’s has been around for 30 years. Dakota’s unique underground location was originally a church. Your restaurant experience begins in the canopied glass elevator that takes you 18 feet below street grade. This cool oasis is complete with a 5-tiered granite water wall, manicured landscapes, lava rock fire pit and black granite bar.

The key to their succulent steaks are picking the best cuts and quality from renowned beef purveyors the Allen Brothers. They promise a great meal every time you stop by for lunch or dinner. They also update their menu twice a year so each time you dine you can expect something different and fresh to go with every season. No steak is complete without the perfect wine, so they have an extensive wine list that’s updated every two weeks.
