St. Patricks day is a worldwide celebration that started in Ireland as a religious feast day and now has slowly evolved into a massive celebration of the Irish culture. Although Dallas is thousands of miles away from Ireland, the festivities will continue on. Here are some of the best St. Patty’s Day events that Dallas has to offer.

Saturday, March 17th, 2018 – 11:00am

Join over 150,000 people in the largest St. Patrick’s day parade in the southwest! The 39th annual Dallas St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival kicks off on March 17th. Over 90 floats are featured in this 2 mile route parade and includes over 1,700 parade participants. All the proceeds from the parade are going towards the Greenville Avenue Area Business Association (GAABA) scholarship fund. So if you are looking to celebrate the Irish and support children’s education, then grab the family and head over to this parade.

Looking for a non-traditional St. Patrick’s day celebration? Then grab your most festive St. Patrick’s day attire and join other people in the celebration! Right after the run is finished, the Mckinney St. Patrick’s Day Festival will be held from 10am to 3pm. Relax and refuel after the race with drinks, food, and live music. St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade and Palooza

North Main Street at East Broad Street, Mansfield, TX 76063

March 16-17, 2018

Take your family and head on over to the world’s only St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade. It’s a fun-filled two-day event that offers a variety of events to help get the whole family celebrating. Start off March 16th with the baby parade at 10 AM, the pet parade at noon, and lastly the pickle parade at 1 PM. Not only will they have these parades, they will have activities the following day like pickle eating contests, a pickle playground, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and live music all day long.
