Classic Car Show Part of 38th Houston Italian Festival
Classic Cars from the 60’s and 70’s from Italy, Germany and England will be featured ONLY on Sunday, October 16 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. during the 38th Annual Houston Italian Festival. The annual festival will be held from Thursday, October 13 until Sunday, October 16 on the grounds of the University of St. Thomas.
The vintage or late model classic models will include Ferrari, Mercedes, Iso Rivalto, Alfa Romeo, Porsche, and Rolls Royce. Many of the car’s owners will be in attendance to share specifics, history and information about their automobiles.
“Many guests who have come to the festive see these classic automobiles as a form of Art … making the cars popular with all ages. There is NO additional charge for the Car Show once inside the festival grounds and the cars will be found just inside the West Gate. . “Remember, the Classic Car show will only be at the festival on Sunday,’’ explained Nick Martino, Car Show Coordinator.
The Classic Car Show is part of the four-day festival, which begins on Thursday night, October13 from 5:00 until 10:00 p.m. with FREE admission. The gates open on Friday, October 14 at 11:00 a.m. and there will be FREE admission until 4:00 p.m. After 4:00 p.m., the admission will be $8 for adults with children 12 and under admitted FREE. Other gate times include Saturday at 11:00 a.m. until10:00 p.m. and Sunday: 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Open to the public, will be a free outdoor Mass on Sunday, October 16 at 9:30 a.m. in front of the Main Stage with the Children’s Choir of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church performing.
