SPCA of Texas’ Pets of the Week for Adoption
Female, 4-year old Shepherd mix
Meet Lottie, weighing in at 36-pounds. She may be shy when you first meet, but give me a treat or rub her belly and you can be best friends!
She came to the SPCA of Texas in November when she was rescued from cruelty. She hasn’t had an easy life so far, and she’s still learning how to trust people. The nice staff and volunteers here have been so nice to her, and have helped her overcome some of my shyness. She enjoys going for walks and is even house trained, though it may take her a few tries to get the routine of my new home. She likes playing with other dogs too, so if you have another dog, bring them to meet her to see if they make a good match. She would do best in a family without children under 10 as she sometimes gets frightened but she’s working on being brave! Lottie has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date on her age-appropriate vaccinations. Plus, her adoption fee includes 30-days of PetHealth pet insurance from

Female, 2-year-old, Domestic Shorthair mix
Meet Cookie, the sweetest, cutest cat in Texas! She’s a Domestic Shorthair mix calico girl. She’s wearing an adorable mask over my eyes! It’s butterscotch-color on one side and black on the other half. Her little nose is pink!
She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on March 29 because her humans had allergies and could no longer keep her. They say she’s gentle, friendly and playful! She weighs a shapely 10 pounds. She loves petting on her belly and back but prefers not to be picked up. She’s a calm, sweet girl who loves affection, lounging in her bed and long chats about life.
Her best home will not have dogs or children because she’s a laid back lady who enjoys peace and quiet, but she gets along fine with other cool cats. She had a favorite person at in her previous home, so if you want a loyal companion, look no further. She’ll eat an occasional cat treat with a purrrrr thank-you!
She has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped and has received age-appropriate vaccinations. Visit her today; you can become BFFF- Best Furry Friends Forever!
